Environmental Protection

MARR considers environmental protection a primary duty, and for this reason it operates in the area in such a way as to achieve the objective of balancing its business activities and the environment by minimizing the use of resources, promoting the spread of sustainable products and adopting pollution prevention measures. As evidence of this commitment, over 2,000 analytical determinations were carried out on wastewater in 2024 to evaluate and monitor its quality.
MARR has obtained the Environmental Management System certification according to the ISO 14001 standard.

 

Packaging

MARR's attention to the use of packaging takes the form of the use of recycled, recyclable and sustainable materials.

Packaging disposal

MARR has updated the information relating to the disposal of packaging materials also through digital media in accordance with the provisions in force.

Logistics and vehicles

Making logistics more efficient is a fundamental aspect both for improving customer service and for reducing fuel consumption and therefore also emissions.

Forests safeguard

Commitment to contrast deforestation and forest degradation practices in accordance with EU Regulation 2023/1115 EUDR.

Seafood products with glaze

Since 2015, MARR has started a process of procurement of seafood products which, if they have a percentage of glazing, is only that technically necessary for the protection of the product.
