MARR is the leading company in Italy in the specialised distribution of food and non-food products to the Out-of-Home food consumption (Foodservice).
Leader in Italy in the distribution to Foodservice: for over 50 years it is our specialty.
MARR serves about 55,000 customers of commercial catering (restaurants, hotels, tourist villages) and collective catering (canteens, schools, hospitals) with an assortment of over 25,000 food products (fish, meat, various grocery and fruit and vegetables) which includes an unique offer of private label products and in exclusivity, a significant offer of green, sustainable and Made in Italy products and to which a complete proposal of equipment for the professional catering have to be added. The Group employs a commercial organization of over 950 commercial technicians and a logistic-distribution network that covers the entire national territory with over 40 distribution units, some of which with cash&carry, and uses over 950 vehicles.

 

Economic results

In 2023 the MARR Group reached total consolidated revenues of 2,085.5 million Euros (1,930.5 in 2022) with a consolidated EBITDA of 123.1 million Euros (82.1 million in 2022) and a Net Result of 47.1 million Euros (26.6 million in 2022).

 

Clients

MARR operates nationwide and serves foodservice operators, both commercial (restaurants, pizzerias, hotels, holiday villages) and canteens (industry, schools, hospitals), with a product range that comprises over 25,000 different food products and over 8,000 non-food items (cleaning and hygiene products for professional use, disposable items for delivery and take away, products for mise en place and other equipment for professional catering).

 
 

Reference Market

MARR operates in a market (wholesalers for the food supply to the Italian Foodservice) that is estimated exceeding 12.0 billion Euros and that is characterised by opportunities deriving by both the growth of the foodservice sector and the increasing demand for a complete and organised distribution service.

 

Business model

In the Italian foodservice sector, MARR is an intermediary between the producers or transformers of food products and the operators in the commercial or collective catering sectors. In particular the Group is supplied by chosen suppliers (over 2,700) from all over the world of food and non-food products which it offers through a network of distributions centers, cash an carry and partnerships to its clients comprising Street Market (restaurants and hotels not belonging to Chains and Groups), National Account (Chanis and Groups of hotels and restaurants and Canteens) and Wholesale operators.

With over 50 years of experience, MARR is a reference point for the catering sector, and presents itself as unique supplier of a wide range of products at national level with various types of conservation (frozen, fresh, and room-temperature), able to ensure a timely and careful service and to satisfy the various and complex requirements that characterise the different segments of clients served, in a personalised and fast way.

The MARR Group employs over 1,000 people, moreover the Organization includes over 950 sales agents, over 1,100 workers in services and goods handling and a network of truck drivers self-employed with over 950 vehicles.
